Air Serbia’s Belgrade to New York direct flights show up on Expedia.com and then disappear?

AS

Air Serbia is currently awaiting their A330-200, which they are receiving from their partner Etihad Airways. The plane was previously used by Jet Airways. No concrete news has come out on specific inaugural flight dates except that the aircraft is in the process of being retrofitted for Air Serbia and that they plan to launch flights sometime this summer.  A search on Expedia last night showed Air Serbia’s direct flight to JFK loaded into their booking system.

Nothing was showing on Google’s ITA Matrix or directly on the Airserbia.com booking system.  Fellow AvGeek and Twitter follower, iflyplaces called Air Serbia’s reservation center and they mentioned that they were not taking reservation for the JFK flight at this time.  Iflyplaces also mentioned seeing business available for the week of June 13th and funny enough, a seating configuration of 1X2 in J.

It seems as though the BEG-JFK will be flight 500, departing Belgrade Nikola Tesla at 9:40AM and arriving at 12:00pm in New York. JFK-BEG will be Flight 501, departing JFK at 2:40PM and arriving in Belgrade at 5:30pm.

The total round trip cost was showing at $629. A search today for the exact same dates, shows no Air Serbia direct routing.
